Denholm is a planned village built around its green in Teviotdale, five miles from Hawick. The Meet sits at 1 Westside, looking out over it.
Antonio and the team cook the way an Italian family does: pasta like Papà Alfonso and Pasta Alessà, a lamb ragù slow-cooked for six hours, Uova in Purgatorio served with bread for the scarpetta, and a tiramisu that is our house speciality. Pizza, risotto and fresh sea bass sit alongside bacon rolls, scones and pancake stacks for the daytime crowd.
Eat in, sit outside on a fine day, or take it home. We'll happily pack up anything you don't finish.
